Jill GolickJill Golick lives at the corner of TV and Digital.

Combining deep experience in series television with a passion for social media and the latest digital tools, Jill is at the bleeding edge of the intersection between television and digital media. Dubbed the Godmother of Canadian New Media by Karen Walton, Golick is a true multiplatform story teller.

As a screenwriter, Golick has more than 200 hours of produced television to her credit. She was Creative Producer on Instant Star, Executive Story Editor on the sexy soap Metropia and Executive Story Editor on four season’s of Global’s gritty crime series Blue Murder. Golick worked extensively as a writer of children’s programs, including Wimzie’s House, Shining Time Station, Canadian Sesame Street, Zaboomafoo and Kratt’s Creatures.

As a new media creator, Jill produces the tween web series Hailey Hacks , which is available on the web wherever video is shared and will soon be available for mobile download through Fun Little Movies. She works with brands to integrate their messages into entertainment properties and with television producers to help them bring their properties to multiple platforms.

An early adopter, Golick first began creating digital content in the early 80s with her company Teego Software. She designed and produced the Parents Choice Award winning Word Bird which Creative Computing called “a truly superb example of what educational software can be”.

Jill blogs on screenwriting at Running With My Eyes Closed and on web drama at Story2OH.com/blog. She is a frequent speaker, having recently appeared at CaseCamp, SubtleTechnologies, Entertainment Master Class, Entertainment Industries Summit, NextMedia 2009 in Toronto. Whenever invited, she serves as a mentor for Frank Boyd’s amazing Crossover labs. She moderates a monthly craft talk with television showrunners called WWTV (Writers Watching TV) and hosts the podcast Writers Talking TV.
